Ownership, management and delivery of IT software projects
Project initiation including scoping, gathering of estimates, obtaining resources, production of product brief, production f project plan, ratification with sponsors and stakeholders
Project execution including:
managing delivery against plan
plan maintenance
status reporting
management of risks and issues
change management
management of definition, design, construction and validation phases
implementation planning
Stakeholder management, team leading, issue resolution, metrics monitoring
Adherence to project management standards, policies and regulatory controls
Proactive involvement in process improvement
- Educated to degree Level
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a project management role
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of the full software development lifecycle
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Structured, methodical thinker
- Strong problem solving skills
- Confident assertive and effective communicator
- Team Player with strong collaboration and relationship building skills
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Formal project management certification
- Experience managing complex, cross-departmental projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience in managing complex multi-system test environments, including liaison with technical stakeholders such as DBAs
- A technical background including an understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
- Experience in managing detailed team-wide financials, including budget forecasting, communicating & agreeing project costs with external stakeholders, daily financials management
The Derivatives Results Database (DRD) is a mission-critical application that is a core component of the firm’s OTC Derivatives processing architecture. DRD provides a consolidated store for OTC Derivatives end-of-day valuations with related trade and results data. On a daily basis, DRD feeds large data volumes to numerous downstream departments including Finance, Credit Risk, Collateral and Client Valuations.
DRD comprises four large Oracle databases supported by a numerous middle tier components and GUI applications implemented using MS .NET, Informatica and IBM MQ Series.
