Function as an IT support person, handling and managing the IT operations in Cognizant Poland based out of Wroclaw. Responsibilities would include managing the IT related activities for the Cognizant offices in Wroclaw. The position has to, perform and manage IT resource management related tasks such as asset tracking, installation and provisioning of IT assets to end users and need to have sufficient experience in handling windows environments, Active Directory, File and print environments .The position is also expected to work on maintaining and troubleshooting desktops/laptops/printers/scanner/phone/ AV (Tandberg) issues and provide remote support to users if necessary. This position will coordinate with other IT team members across CE region, offshore IT teams of cognizant, and the remote service desk teams (GSD) to provide a stable IT environment across in Cognizant Poland.
Function: IT Support
- IT Incident management, problem management.
- IT Resource Management and Lifecycle management process.
- Co-ordinate with remote NSS and GSD teams.
- Computers vendor management for warranty and repair related issues.
- ISP management for external network related issues.
- Telecom and mobile vendor management.
- Datacentre vendor management.
- Handling day to day operational calls with respect to Laptops /Phones /Blackberry related issues,
- Hardware and software inventory management.
- Knowledge and experience in handling Windows, Active Directory and File/Print Environments.
- Proficiency in installation/configuration and troubleshooting of Laptops and desktops,
- Knowledge in Windows XP/Windows 7 administration,
- Knowledge in Microsoft suite of products and their troubleshooting,
- Knowledge in Windows server 2008, 2012
- Knowledge in Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, etc)
- Basic Microsoft SharePoint knowledge
- Basic firewall Management (Cisco ASA)
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Basic understanding of Data ,Voice & Video infrastructure.
- Written and Oral proficiency in English,
- Verbal communications. Ability to effectively interact with peers and managers.
