We are looking for an expert in IT Systems Administration who will be responsible for administering of servers and business applications. In addition, IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and expansion of the Atlassian toolset across our organization. We are targeting JIRA (Core and Software), Confluence, ServiceDesk and integrations with external systems.
- Being part of a team that is providing tools and improvements for the company business teams;
- Install, configure, maintain, and enhance the IT systems and business applications that we use to manage work;
- Recommend operational efficiencies, eliminate unnecessary work efforts and remove unwanted complexities; create and implement new procedures and workflows;
- Ensure systems are stable, available and that user issues are addressed in a timely manner;
- Work closely with all teams to align requirements where possible and to introduce new concepts and approaches to problems;
- Support projects, queries and reports as needed;
- Work with end users to enable custom workflows, screens, fields and dashboards;
- Develop solutions extending Atlassian REST services and JIRA plugins using the Atlassian SDK;
- Manage system access across groups to ensure security compliance and maintain best practices;
- Training end users on IT Systems and business applications features during project deployments and with ongoing support.
- 3-5 years of experience working directly with a project/task management toolset;
- At least one year of experience working with IT Systems and business applications; (administration level) including JIRA, Confluence and other Atlassian products as a power user or admin;
- Experience in Windows environments and supporting the Atlassian toolset from a stability and performance perspective;
- Ability to write custom JQL (JIRA Query Language);
- Core Java and SQL experience;
- Solid understanding of the SDLC and project management methodologies;
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment;
- Able to analyze and review current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement;
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively share knowledge with internal and external customers;
- Solid ability to report up and know when to ring the alarm bell.
