The successful candidate needs to be self motivated, result-driven person with the technical background and excellent communication skills as well as a good team player, willing and able to turn his hand to almost any task performed by the team
- Communicate with the clients all over the globe
- Understand business requirements and provide solutions using Jasper reports
- Carry out planning, development and coordinating matters related to Report development using Jasper Reports
- Use technical knowledge and programming skills in the tasks which may include system analysis, programming logic, system testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and user support.
Other tasks:
- Work in a team and co-ordinate tasks
- Create technical documentation of report logic and processes. Help create new processes and procedures, and suggest improvements to current processes and procedures
- Gather and document functional and technical report requirements, and translate requirements into reporting solutions.
- Provide guidance to other members in the team
One can find list of skills required from the senior Jasper developer:
- SQL skills, Oracle syntax preferably;
- Knowledge of report deployment and configuration is a must;
- Jasper reports development/analysis experience required, must be able to design complex reports using Jaspersoft Studio;
- Good analytical and communication skills;
Nice to have:
- Java programming experience is a plus;
- Experience with BIRT, Tableau or other BI / reporting tools that can be used with a Web Application;
- Familiarity with Web Development;
There are multiple possible backgrounds besides Java developer. It could be BI tool user or BI Analyst interested in the report development.
To develop strategic reporting platform for a number of applications across the large investement bank. It allows users to define and run reports with a set of pre-defined filters. These reports can be scheduled for distribution via secured channel. It consists of a proprietary web application that sits on top of Jasper BI which is a reporting product marketed by JasperSoft. The application is entirely hosted on bank premises.
