As Java Developer at ACN Europe, your contribution will have a significant impact on the business. In this role, you will have hands-on responsibility for defining and supporting major business projects and initiatives.
- Design, develop and deploy solutions around business needs
- Deliver conceptual, logical and physical solution specifications
- Translate business requirements using complex methods and models to determine appropriate system solutions.
- Interacting with off-shore development resources to provide technical guidance and leadership
As each project will require various technical skills and therefore requires a well rounded, experienced and adaptable individual. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience developing solutions in Java
- Extensive experience with the J2EE framework and open source solutions, including Java, JSPs and servlets, Spring, Struts, ORM, WebServices, XML, JSSE, JMS.
- Strong database skills (SQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL)
- Breath of IT knowledge a major plus, ranging from web middleware, web protocols, Java, eCommerce, networking, operating systems (Unix and Windows), server hardware, storage, databases, scalability, performance, configuration and change management, and high availability.
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, and ability to work within and adapt to a dynamic working environment
- Promotes a positive team climate, and a strong work ethic
- Willingness and desire to constantly improve skills and embrace new ideas, frameworks, and programming languages.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
