Responsibilities:

Developing in Java
Understanding the technology stack and how it impacts their development approach
Agile development of feature based deliverables
Thorough testing of features built
Adhering to design guidelines and standards
Ensuring builds are completed without errors.
Bug fixing
Second line support along with the rest of the dev team.

Requirements:

Must have:

Strong Knowledge of Java l
Structures, algorithms, and network programming using Java NIO
Extensive development expertise in high performance, high availability, high throughout, high capacity, yet low latency, transaction-oriented, distributed system, preferably in a financial environment
Experience with Unix
Experience with order management systems or order state handling
Knowledge of TCP/IP including UDP, multicast, broadcast, NIO etc.
Fluent English

Nice to have:

Knowledge of financial industry
SQL server knowledge

Apart from what

Technical design skills that focus on code reuse and ease of maintenance
Experience building Java based web applications, server side and web based on Unix platform
Excellent troubleshooting, unit testing, and problem solving skills
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills with ability to document work
Basic TSQL skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Unix scripting and Freemarker
Experience with Spring, Ajax, Struts2, or popular JavaScript frameworks like jQuery
Understanding of data caching principles in a distributed system
