As a Java Engineer with excellent knowledge of Java and a strong interest in business analysis you will contribute to the design and implementation of Java based applications as well as the respective maintenance and 3rd level support.
Successful candidates will have:
- Ability to design, build and maintain applications in an Agile environment.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills:
- You will be able to communicate and understand requirements from our stakeholders.
Fluent in English (negotiation level), German preferable
A proven track record in a similar environment:
- Delivering software solutions to demanding product owners, being part of a large and (possibly) distributed team.
- Modern test driven development techniques
- Incident management and problem analysis in test and production systems.
We recruit 'generalizing specialists' who are experts in the core technologies and users of, or would like to learn, the other technologies:
- Server side Java: J2SE or J2EE
- Test driven development and continuous integration & deployment
- Web Application Development
Knowledge in these other technologies would be beneficial:
- Oracle and/or DB2 databases, SQL
- Perl or other Unix Scripting
- Functional programming languages (e.g. Scala)
- Non-functional testing at scale
- Test automation tools such as Fitness, JBehave or Rspec
- Experience of Specification by example
Records Management IT (RMIT) is a global technology change and delivery organization comprising nearly 100 individuals located in Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and Singapore. RMIT provides archiving and retrieval solutions to all business divisions (WM, Swiss Bank, IB, WMA and GLAM) focusing on supporting Legal, Regulatory and Operational functions.
The current technology stack comprises z/OS, IBM CMOD, Opentext, Oracle, SAMFS, DB2, TSM, NETAPPS SNAPLOCK and various in-house created technologies.
Our team methodology will include Scrum / Agile and traditional Iterative / Waterfall models. The project teams consist of IT project managers, business analysts, developers and testers.
