The candidate will be working as a scrum team member. The tasks will include:
- requirements gathering (backlog refinement)
- implementation
- testing and delivering the changes to the business, with primary focus on the implementation and unit testing.
The team produces requirements jointly with the business users and then takes full responsibility for producing technical solution, testing it and delivering to the business.
The team's development process utilizes such practices as unit testing, continuous integration, peer review (all checked in code gets reviewed).
- Min 3 years of experience with Java Technology
- Experience with Spring, Hibernate, SQL
- Experience with WebServices, JMS is a plus
Nice to have:
- Experience in Investment Banking is a big plus
The candidate will take part in the ongoing development of a synthetic swaps application for a large investment bank within the Equity Finance IT program.
The candidate will join a newly formed cross-functional development Scrum team in a distributed Scrum project.
The team is responsible for designing, developing and supporting a synthetic swaps system for trading Total Return Swaps, Synthetic Equity Swaps, Basket Swaps and Contracts for Difference. Project latest initiatives include extending system functionality to support new products and markets, as well as improvement of system scalability and resilience, migration to new technologies.
The system is based on Tomcat backed by Oracle 11g database. WebServices are used for communication between a server and a GUI written in C#.
