We are looking for Java Engineers for one of our client, that was founded in Munich in 1999 and today it is Europe's leading e-tailer for pet food and pet supplies. With an annual double-digit growth rate and a predicted revenue about 875 million Euro in 2016, we have already successfully rolled out our business model in 26 European countries and we are expecting further sustainable growth in European e-commerce.
What you will be responsible for
- developing and continuously delivering applications for one of the most successful e-commerce platforms in Europe to enable our growing and successful business
- working in a Scrum environment and taking part in alle parts of the software life cycle from concept thru coding to testing and maintaining
- get fascinated by discovering and solving the digital challenges of delivering a full e-commerce stack: Customer Experience, Payment, Supply Chain & Finance
- strive for mastery in a challenging agile environment using state-of-the-art technologies

What we are looking for
- 2+years software development experience in using Java, preferably in e-commerce setting
- experience using the Spring framework
- experience in gathering requirements and writing user stories
- able to understand and apply design patterns
- basic understanding and application of Clean Code and TDD principles
- good knowledge and usage of version control concepts and systems (e.g. svn, git)
- JUnit, Cucumber or other testing frameworks knowledge or experience are necessary
- Hibernate or equivalent knowledge
- experience with SQL (Oracle SQL is a plus)
- maven or other build system knowledge appreciated
- knowledge about application integration with SAP is a plus
- development experience in logistics or e-commerce area is appreciated
- fluent in English, understanding and speaking German would be a plus
- agile mindset and ideally already experience with Scrum, Kanban or XP
