For our client, one of the world leaders in the field of Business Intelligence solutions, we are currently seeking candidates for the role of Junior Application Support Engineer. We are looking for candidates with some technical experience, who can quickly gain an understanding of the product architecture, in order to take responsibility for the delivery of support to constantly expanding customer base.
Main responsibilities on this position will include: investigating and diagnosing problems with core applications, responding to incoming support tickets, liaising with customers to inform them of progress, request information and manage their expectations - all to ensure a high quality of delivered service.
The right candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in the area of IT or relevant experience, and is willing to take on and resolve challenging technical support issues; good written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, as well as familiarity with the structure of J2EE web applications, application servers (Tomcat, JBOSS, Windows), database (Oracle 11g) and troubleshoot J2EE application issues; some experience with Unix/Linux is also desirable.
