Junior Java Developer

Responsibilites
- Developing in Java
- Understanding the technology stack and how it impacts their development approach.
- Agile development of feature based deliverables.
- Thorough testing of features built.
- Adhering to design guidelines and standards.
- Ensuring builds are completed without errors.
- Bug fixing
- Configure new reconciliation points and maintain existing instances of Application.
- Second line support along with the rest of the dev team.
Requirements
- Basic Knowledge of Java Language (preferable 1-2 years of experience)
- Basic understanding of the data structures and algorithms
- Basic understanding of multithreading
- Unix command line interface
- Willingness to learn how to tackle performance issues
- Team player with good interpersonal/communication skills

The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex trading platform of a leading investment bank as a Java Developer.
Role assumes close cooperation with end users and working in an autonomous manner. That is, person is able to gather requirements, design possible solutions,
propose it to users and implement with adherence to high standards of code quality.
The role includes occasionally supporting end users and co-operation with other levels of support as L3 engineer. Finally successful candidate may be asked to do business trips to Swiss headquaters (once/twice a year).
