Junior KYC Analyst (with extensive introductory training)

The role:
If you are a fresh graduate, last year student or junior professional and you plan to start or develop your career in the compliance, financial crime or anti money laundering area, there is no better place than the Know your Client (KYC) department in UBS.
The KYC department performs due diligence checks on potential & existing clients of the Investment Bank across all business areas and products types. As a Junior KYC Analyst you will be responsible for conducting the verification of existing clients of UBS. Your role will be to mitigate the risk of being involved in money laundering, financing terrorism or other illegal activities. Additional checks may also be required when an existing client extends their relationship with UBS.
After the Induction Program you will be invited to the 2-months extensive training which will allow you to be a Professional KYC Analyst.
The role is located in the UBS office in Zabierzow (Krakow Business Park).
Responsibilities:
- Verifying KYC data and collecting relevant information
- Correctly performing background checks and negative news searches
- Identifying red flag situations
- Classifying clients from a risk and regulatory perspective
- Ensuring appropriate and confidential handling / sharing of sensitive information
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Finance or Legal or similar
- Very good written and spoken English
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong time management, work organization and multi-tasking skills
- Willingness to learn new things
- Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
Additional assets:
- Knowledge of other foreign language
- Previous experience in the area of shared services
