Junior Piping Draftsperson

Position Description

The Piping Draftsperson will use their design and drafting skills to support the piping components of projects as assigned within HOCS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and backdraft all types of piping drawings including PFD’s, P&ID’s, plot plans, equipment layouts, general arrangements, and isometric drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software and manual drafting / sketching.
• Prepare and backdraft all types of piping deliverables including LDT, specialty item lists, pipe support details, spring support lists / details, valve lists, BOM’s for piping materials, etc.
• Manage a large volume of deliverables effectively.
• Interface with other design disciplines.
• Effective execution of both 2D CAD drafting.
• Ensure the quality of deliverables being issued meet project and corporate standards.
• Work effectively under the supervision of a project lead or Senior Designer.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Training and/or experience with AutoCAD required.
• Experience with Plant 3D, PDMS/E3D, Autoplant or SP3D will be considered an asset.
• Strong English oral and written communication skills.
