Junior Solution Designer – Unified Communication

Nokia Networks IT Infrastructure Unit is globally supporting 57.000 employees with End User Computing, Communications, Networks and Enterprise Computing services. Together with our IT partners, this Infrastructure is currently being transformed towards a state-of-the-art cloud-based architecture interconnected through a global hybrid network. We are looking for experienced as well as recently graduated IT professionals who want to join our international team and take responsibility for the delivery, quality, performance and development of global IT services.

We are looking for self-driven and motivated Junior Solution Designer for Global Unified Communication Services to join our IT Communications team in Warsaw. The technical experience is not a must, although excellent English skills and ability to acquire technical knowledge, work with external providers and drive for innovations in the Unified Communication domain is required.

Within IT Infrastructure, the Communication Services unit globally manages the life-cycle, delivery, quality and performance of all voice services ranging from fixed voice to mobile voice, to VoIP services, virtual meetings and video services. Some of the key services are a VoIP core with more than 30.000 users and video services in more than 40 countries.

The Solution Designer will be responsible of the design, functionality, structure, configuration, quality and technical solution of Cisco based VoIP, Fixed Voice providers and/or Call Centers. The Solution Designer aligns the solutions with the IT Infrastructure Architecture. The post holder manages the design of the services and solutions in his scope, guides the IT providers' technical solution teams, performs the necessary acceptance and assures the quality after the realization for IT solution. In cooperation with other IT functions, they perform and validate requirement analysis, prepare offer requests to providers and evaluate answers. The Solution Designer also participates in the preparation of project proposals, the project business case and in the implementation of projects.

Must have:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent education;

• General knowledge of telecommunication area;

• Analytical thinking skills;

• Eager and capable to work in a global multi-cultural team and to develop him/herself;

• Strong customer focus;

• Drive to deliver results, “getting things done” attitude;

• Working with integrity and building trust;

• Excellent verbal and written English language and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• 0-2 years of experience in the field of Unified Communication, VoIP, Voice, Telephony, Call Center or other IT Infrastructure services;

• Knowledge of the Cisco VoIP portfolio and offerings in this area will be an asset;

• Capable of managing provider team;

• Capable to understand and develop business cases;

• Understanding of ITIL processes.
