This role is part of the Global Sourcing organization dedicated to leveraging the volumes of International Paper regarding procurement of transport and warehouse services in IP European Paper, IP Russia and EMEA Packaging. You will be responsible for performing analysis, managing vendors and maintaining contracts, as well as negotiating of cost effective procurement for the Transport category for all IP EMEA facilities.
If you have good analytical skills and would like to test yourself in an challenging situations such as negotiations with vendors, this job will be a perfect opportunity for you to further develop your skills. You will also be able to manage spend, influence the relationships you have with suppliers. Your input will be crucial to developing the Transportation category strategy and processes.

Perform required data and market analysis related to transport category

Manage data and compliance reporting

Prepare and analyze tender documentation (RFP, RFI)

Negotiate and cooperate with suppliers according to IP requirements and processes

Serve as a liaison between logistic department and suppliers

Support contracts implementations

Proactively seek cost reduction through research, communication and planning, as well as through applying effective purchasing techniques

Participate in drawing out transportation strategies for better supply chain solutions

Manage relationship with existing suppliers and seek new opportunities

Provide mills and plants with detailed and timely information about terms and conditions of procurement contracts

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, Accounting, Finance or Economics is preferred

Previous experience in the logistics/purchasing area would be an asset

Experience with SAP/BW and MS office tools would be an advantage

Very good communication skills

Very good command of English

Knowledge of any additional European language would be an additional asset
