Responsibilites
- Translate business requirements into designs for solutions
- Implement solutions and develop software components
- Collaborate with other global IT teams and business sponsors (Quants)
- Solve problems that vary from high volume, low latency scalable architecture to user analytics
Requirements
- 5+ years of KDB+/Q experience, with relevant experience in financial services
- Able to core Java and ideally Java web development
- Proficient in Unix/Linux and OS level tools
- Experience working with time-series databases, including development of scalable real-time data processing systems
- Experience with subject matter of Investment Banking especially in Trading, Capital Markets and Market Data
- Experience with Bloomberg and Thompson-Reuters systems
- Working knowledge of market data sets
- Knowledge of SDLC and SL3 support process
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- In addition you will need very strong communication skills
- Fluent English
