Performing duties of lab maintenance, preparation of solutions, performing of verification, calibration, measurements and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ordering materials, management of stocks, and other routine laboratory activities. Cares for the application of EHS and ALCOA principles in the Laboratory of Technical Research and Development - Polpharma Biologics.
- Perform maintenance, verification, calibration and simple measurements of equipment in accordance with the instructions and procedures.
- Preparation of solutions, buffers, mobile phases and cell culture media, involving use of laboratory scales, pHmeters, filtration units and other routine instruments.
- Prepare material for laboratory activities such as washing or autoclaving.
- Document all the activities mentioned according to internal procedures.
- Write user manuals for routinary use equipment and/or working instructions or other type of documents regarding lab-related activities.
- Report system breakdowns to the Maintenance Department and to service engineers for service or repair
- Prepare and manage orders and invoices for consumables and reagents through SAP.
- Control the usage and maintain stocks for consumables and reagents.
- Preparation of shipments and receiving parcels, and keep track of materials in the laboratory.
- Work on the continuous improvement of the organization of the laboratories following 6S suggestions, coordinating with other users.
- Order and manage Equipment of Individual Protection for lab personnel and organization of periodic lab clothes washing.
- Control and coordinate laboratory waste management with the corresponding company.
- Perform activities related to Safety, Environmental and Hygiene department, such as periodic checks of safety equipment and control of reagents SDS (Safety Data Sheets).
- Coordinate with other laboratory technicians and the specialists all activities mentioned before.
- Execution of tasks agreed with the line manager and other group members.
If you have:
- Laboratory technician related studies
- 0.5-2 years of experience working in a laboratory (pharmaceutical company or internship in a laboratory)
- Basic knowledge of laboratory material (glassware, plasticware..)
- Basic knowledge of routinary laboratory equipment (laboratory scales, pHmeters…)
- Experience in preparation of solutions and buffers.
- Good management of documentation.
- Good communication and organization skills
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Good command of spoken and written English.
