- Contribute to the design, implementation and integration of a set of applications as well as the
respective maintenance and 3rd level support
- Act as a primary contact to our partners in architecture and project management to support design and build applications in an Agile as well as Waterfall environments
- Coach other team members to achieve high quality deliveries
Technical Requirements
- Unix (Solaris, Linux) environment system engineering, incl. packaging and configuration
management
- Perl and Shell scripting
- Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) expertise
- IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate management)
- Data management and migration
Knowledge in these other technologies/areas would be a plus
- Java/J2EE (especially EJB and Struts)
- Wintel environment (server as well as workstation)
- Oracle DBA experience
- Storage and archiving solutions:
- Product knowledge of OpenText (CS, LEA, LES and OAS)
- Product knowledge of IBM CMOD
General Requirements
- Ability to design, build and maintain applications in Agile as well as in Waterfall environments
- Ability to liaise with Business Analysis to support the requirements engineering process as well as
conduct effort estimates for the respective project's engineering, testing and integration tasks
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills
- Advanced communication in English
- You will be able to understand our partners' requirements and quickly resolve any potential issue
both in the project as well as in the productive environment.
- You will be able to communicate to and influence stakeholders
- 10+ years' experience in similar positions.
- A proven track record in a similar environment
- Leading a development team (either line management or technical lead).
- Delivering software solutions to demanding product owners, being part of a large and (possibly)
distributed team
- Experience of end-to-end software development lifecycle with focus on the integration of 3rd party components
- Incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered
installations.

They provide record and data management for a large Investment Banks through regular archival and retrieval processes in compliance with the security and regulatory rules. These solutions have a complex architecture and hosted on different platforms such as Linux, Solaris and Windows; use IBM WebSphere, Oracle Database as metadata, archival solutions like IBM CMOD, OpenText products and storage managers like SNAPLOCK and IBM TSM.
