We are currently looking for a Lead Backend Developer who would join our TSG team
Lead Backend Developer
Workplace: Warszawa or remote
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take care of efficient backend processes:
That means you'll:
- Take care of distribution and upkeep highly-scalable backends of new games through maintenance and design
- Contribute towards best practice of reliability and availability
- Troubleshoot and monitor high-volume database systems
- Actively contribute to game design discussions
Support the development team:
So it will be your responsibility to:
- Co-create an environment of active information exchange between project teams;
- Support all developers' self-development;
- Coach and mentor the development team;
- Support the recruitment process of developers;
- Support the team with knowledge of the Agile methodology;
- Motivate and support the team in achieving set goals.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:
- General enthusiasm for games;
- Exquisite, minimum 5-years experience in server-side Java programming along with concurrency handling and distributed systems;
- 2 years of experience in managing a development team;
- Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures;
- Skills to use the Linux console;
- Solid Linux shell experience along with scripting languages;
- Ability to think on your feet and readiness to work under pressure as our aim is to minimize downtime in games, so you'll be expected to respond and troubleshoot a range of issues accompanying the production environment;
- Be highly-committed and passionate about getting things done autonomously;
- Be respectful and have an open-minded attitude towards your colleagues and their work;
- Experience in agile methodologies;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
- Analytical skills, including risk identification and process mapping.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in Redis and/or PostgreSQL database;
- Knowledge of data serialization in client-server communication;
- Familiarity with game dev;
- Experience in working with mobile apps;
- Knowledge of how to train your colleagues;
- Knowledge of ith JIRA/Confluence or related software;
- Knowledge of BPMN/UML.
