The role holder provides technical business consultancy to our client base. The purpose of the role is to define and deliver major technical projects, strategies and architectures, demonstrating an understanding of the customers’ business and commercial issues and contributing key insights. They provide technical advice and assistance related to various projects for existing or prospective customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Defines major technical projects for customers or Fujitsu Services, influencing their view of acceptable investment level. Determines strategies, architectures and proposals.
- Shapes technical proposals to be acceptable to the customer and may make solution/service trade-offs.
- Owns and delivers a consulting assignment which is either self-contained or as part of a larger team. Working to the assignment descriptions and the consulting standards. Identifies potential issues and conflicts and addresses them.
- Business development. Works with customers to understand their business strategy and develop IT strategies and architecture for significant areas of their business.
- Manages a team to agree customer requirements and produce the design, setting high level criteria for the design of major solutions and exercising design control over the implementation.
- Communicates the impact of emerging technologies on customer and Fujitsu’s business to senior level customers and Fujitsu’s businesses.
- Work with little formal supervision. Successfully executes a number of medium to large assignments of moderate to high complexity. These assignments involve working with middle to senior management within Fujitsu or client organizations.
- Shares knowledge with colleagues and makes useful additions to the Fujitsu’s knowledge base. Contributes new knowledge to Fujitsu, either by recognizing the value of key project deliverables or by locating and capturing third-party materials that are relevant to Fujitsu’s business.
- Maintains senior management level relationships both internally and externally.
- Have many years of industry experience supporting engineering teams with application development, infrastructure and CI/CD tools.
- Have managed high skilled teams.
- Have analytical skills and knowledge of the full SDLC and CI/CD.
- Established experience in (but not limited to), for example, software development, Microservices (MSA) and Event Driven architectures and patterns, AWS, Azure, Docker, SQL and NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, etc.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, geographically flexible and highly active environment.
- Able to rapidly research, understand and demonstrate new technologies, products and services.
- Understand the trade-offs in employing different technical solutions to a problem, valuing pragmatism.
