For our partner, an Investment Banking organization in Warsaw, we are hiring a Linux Application Administrator to join our application team.
We are having multiple initiatives, and our biggest driver is the application upgrade with an operating system (Solaris to Red Hat) and database migration (Sybase to Oracle). You will support the team in migration of the scripts, SQL based monitoring metrics, and other activities related to migration.
- Involvement in a project of introducing a new application
- Setup an application together with Vendor
- Cooperate with Infrastructure and demand team to install required components
- Plan and coordinate changes, upgrades and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments
- Support production configuration and assist in functional change requests
- Incidents and problems management
- Participate in projects and long-term activities
- Detailed root-cause analysis with mitigation actions
- Knowledge of / experience in Red Hat Linux
- Experience with bash/ksh /shell scripting
- Ability to update the scripts that work on RedHat
- Knowledge of RDBMS (Sybase, Oracle)
- Knowledge of SQL queries/indexes
- Communicative English
- Ability to join in March / April
