Job Purpose:
Manager IT Strategic Planning & Programs leads the development and implementation of diverse EU and MEISA IT strategy and tactics through a team of highly skilled professionals. Acts as the interface to focus IT and related business groups on the optimum planning and execution of business critical initiatives (business planning, projects, processes etc). Operates in a complex and fast changing global business, technical and regulatory environment.
Key Accountabilities:
Develops and recommends high level strategies for the IT function that drive long-term business performance within EMEA whilst directly aligning with Corporate IT goals and complying with externally driven IT regulatory requirements.
Leads EMEA and corporate driven IT process improvement programs. Includes mapping and evaluating major processes (demand process, portfolio management etc) and related tools, which can be highly complex/innovative. Leads the development of new/enhanced processes, together with process measurement and reporting tools and secures commitment from key decision-makers responsible for the end users. Uses the principles of change management (awareness, commitment, training, recognition etc) to implement process enhancements.
Co-ordinates the IT business planning and control of costs within plan. Includes aligning with key functions and Finance to evaluate and plan the most effective use of capital relating to IT solutions, recommending priorities possible within agreed budgets. Ongoing monitors costs and recommends actions needed to achieve goals. Manages and controls capital and expense budgets ensuring that all costs are reviewed and controlled within agreed parameters.
Supports IT in developing and implementing a cohesive approach to planning and managing human resources in a fast changing business and technical environment. Includes identifying, recommending and implementing effective methods, criteria and tools to evaluate future resource needs i.e. number of heads/specific skills, whether to insource/outsource, IT specific training needs etc. Determines and communicates appropriate standards and processes regarding the selection and management of all IT vendors.
Develops, recommends, implements & maintains effective IT measurement & control processes, tools & metrics to track & report progress of key elements of each IT function (Development, Infrastructure, CT & IT Field etc), projects & programs against the relevant targets & goals. Evaluates overall performance metrics to identify the key messages and recommends corrective actions to the appropriate audience (business function heads, IT EMEA or world-wide, vendors etc).
Develops and maintains an in depth knowledge of the global FedEx business (direction and strategies, core business processes, technology etc) and of the evolution in the macro business environment (governance methodologies, technology, customer, competitor etc). Uses knowledge to champion best practice relating to IT governance and project management methodologies and principles by translating accepted concepts into specific recommendations. Facilitates innovation within IT and user groups through the capture and evaluation of learning/ideas.
Requirements:
We are looking for IT Managers with min. 3 years of experience as People Leaders and 5 years of experience as Project Managers from international organizations. We are looking for candidates who are successful leaders with strong planning and budget management skills. Candidates should have experience in working with outsourcing vendors and contract management. Also, candidates must have experience in IT capital budget planning, IT expense planning, resource management, knowledge management, cross functional development process. Moreover, very good knowledge of English is a must due to international environment. Experience in digital transformations, knowledge of Agile or Project Management Certificates would be strong advantage.
