On this position you will work in a global team and act as Software Developer for assigned software products, especially around SoD. The role activities include the following:
- Making a strong contribution to the design of the system.
- Act as a subject matter expert for our service offerings
- Working with the user community to define, demonstrate and refine new functionality.
- Educate and guide Service Delivery and Testing Team staff on system architectures, project detail and timelines.
- Analyse problems and provide technical investigation of support queries escalated by the global support team to engineering team.
- Financial / Banking Industry experience preferred
- Degree in a Computer Science related discipline or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience of application development.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of design patterns and best practices within the design and development lifecycle
- Experience in defining and applying technology related standards, process and governance
- MS Office add-ins development
- Data reports generation/management using MS SQL Server and MS Excel
Desired Technical Requirements
- Development experience in VBA, T-SQL (SQL Server 2008 and higher)
- Good working experience on Windows platform with PowerShell and Windows Batch scripting
- A solid background in IT engineering with a specialization in IT security services / Detect Control technologies
- Experience in ODBC, Database concepts
- Experience of engineering, configuring and deploying highly available enterprise solutions
- An understanding of security issues, application-level security
Desired Technical skills
- MS Excel and SQL server integration
- VCS knowledge (especially SVN)
- .NET knowledge is plus
