The Bank has created a home-grown CMDB solution (Configuration Management Database). The CMDB allows users easy access to all aspects of the bank's IT Infrastructure and has a strong integration with other tools (100+ adapters) through web services, message bus and file consumption plus an extensive GUI including graphical visualization of dependencies and an extensive data model to store the data.
Role refers to the following areas: Solving TRP (IT Top Risk) for network discovery, network inventory and governance of all network endpoints, highlighting rogue devices on the network and providing remediation. Role is crucial as is responsible for extending and improving automation of application attestation - a required function for support SOX applications, as well as DATP (developer access to production) requirements and regulations. On top focuses on finalizing migration and finally fully decommissioning banks legacy IT configuration solution - HP Asset Manager (aka HPAM). This role is to assist in all of these projects.
Team: CMDB Engineering team is a part of bigger organizational unit called "Data and Analytics Services".
Currently, the team consists of 6 very talented and experienced engineers / developers with a great sense of humor (5 Poles and one Italian / 5 men and one woman) + 1 BA. We expect that this number will increase to 7-8. CMDB Engineering team works closely with other teams: "Architecture & System Analysis", "Discovery", "eInventory", "Big Data Analytics" and "Data Product Management & Governance". International structure with in team members and line management in US, GB, CH and PL.
While many of the integration designs will be reused from the current solution anything behind the scenes and the GUI is re-developed from scratch for the new solution, using latest technology and frameworks.
The main development environment for the new solution is C#, MSSQL, JavaScript. For the maintenance of the existing solution VBScript/VBA and Java knowledge would be a plus.
This role is for a System engineer - .Net Developer to strengthen our current development team. This role provides the opportunity to use your creativity to provide efficient and maintainable designs which at the same time provide the highest usability and a refreshing end user experience. You will be part of a larger team - desire and capability to work in a team and have an open mind when it comes to information and knowledge exchange are a must. We are looking for a Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.
In this role you will:
- Create solution designs and implement them in the data model, screen designs, code. You will create data mappings and data migrations, interfaces and web services to fulfil these requirements.
- Work with business analysts, customers and stakeholders to document and detail requirements.
- Work closely with other engineers, developers and architects to integrate with other products.
- Get opportunity to grow and work with the latest technologies.
- Provide solutions and bug fixes for 2nd and 3rd level incident tickets.
- Work to project schedules within planned releases; provide effort estimates and pro-active feedback for assigned tasks.
- Produce documentation to document the design, operations, governance and usage of the system.
Contribute to the team spirit of an international team and serve customers all over the world.
- University degree in computer science, electronic engineering or similar experience.
- Proven experience as a software developer using .Net technologies (C#).
- Good understanding of OOP (Object Oriented Programming) principles.
- Design patterns.
- At least 3 years' experience as an engineer in large and complex application development projects.
- Good written and spoken communication in English language.
- Ability to efficiently communicate within virtual teams as well as with internal customers.
