Network Architect will be responsible for leading the definition and design of solution architectures, conducting the analysis of alternative architectures, creating architectural standards, defining processes to ensure conformance to standards, instituting solution-testing criteria, defining a solution's cost-of-ownership, and promoting a clear and consistent business vision through technical architectures. Provide escalated operational support for the data network.
This role will be focused on the wireless, WAN optimization, and DNS/DHCP/IPAM components of the network architecture.
- Technical Architect
- Provide technical recommendations for Accenture’s network and security infrastructure
- Drive detailed technology designs, budgets & bill of materials for new facilities and/or facility expansions
- Drive detailed designs, and technology migration strategies/integration plans for solutions to be implemented
- Evaluate vendors/options & provide recommendations
- Provide inputs & content to the IM&S Technology Architecture Roadmaps
- Develop & enhance Accenture’s network architecture & configuration standards
- Undertake technology evaluations and present results and recommendations to Senior Management
- Serve as a point of contact for non-operational questions by other teams within the respective Accenture Client Delivery, Network Operations & Services, and Data Centre Operations & Services organizations.
- Continue to increase skills through projects, self study, and training opportunities
- Provide Network Architecture SME services to external clients/deals (as opportunities arise)
- Develop deep technical and functional skills in all areas that the NDA Data team supports including: WLAN, WAN Optimization, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, proxy servers, and load-balancers
- Develop implementation, troubleshooting, and standards management skills for each of the areas above
- Support the development and publishing of network architecture standards and software standards
- Support problem resolution and continuous improvement
- Experience in Juniper routers, switches and firewall & JUNOS
- Experience and knowledge on Cisco ASR 9000 series and IOS-XR
- Industry certifications (CCIE, CCNP, CCDP)
- VPN Client & Server products (SSL & IPSEC)
- BlueCoat Packetshapers (QoS, classifying & prioritisation of traffic)
- Content Filtering & caches (ISA Proxy & Websense)
- WAN Acceleration & compression services (Riverbed)
- Authentication Services (Cisco ACS, Radius)
- Load Balancing (Big IP F5, Cisco ACE SLB)
- IP Telephony (Cisco, Avaya)
- Data center technologies – Cisco Nexus, Virtualization, UCS
- Wireless LAN (Cisco &/OR Aruba) Technology
