Responsibilities:
The Network Architect will provide operational support for systems and services. The new employ will be responsible for designing architectures and configurations for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), intranets, cloud solutions and other data communications systems. The Network Architect will direct system installations and define document and enforce system standards. The Network Architect will create tests, evaluate networks, conduct research and development and influence next generation products.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework
- Design, test,and inspect data communications systems
- Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning
- Install hardware such as cables, switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless adaptors
- Develop technology roadmaps
- Develop test and implementation plans
- Configure network drivers for software
- Analyze, engineer and execute software functions
- Stay abreastof how technology infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors
- Determine production direction
- Write functional technical documents
- Manage technology vendors
- Assess vendor development/test strategies
- Perform network trouble shooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
- Upgradenetwork hardware and software components as required
- Solve complex problems with many variables
- Masters degree in Computer Science orrelated field or combination of education and equivalent experience
- Strong hands-on Network experience (4+years) in large organization
- Broad Networking background in workingfor large enterprise
- Design documentation and drawing skills
- Expert level hands on knowledge in CiscoNexus, IOS and Juniper Firewall/Routers/Switches.
- Expert level knowledge with design and administering global WAN (MPLS, DMVPN), LAN (Wired and Wireless) networks.
- In-depth experience with protocols suchas OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, LDP etc.
- Experience in services such as L2VPN,L3VPN and VPLS etc.
- Office environment with up to 25% travel required
