Network Architect

Responsibilities:
• Candidate will be responsible and accountable for leading the design, implementation and support of our secure multinational network, both data centre based, but also global.
• Candidate should be capable of technical leadership and mentoring of the team, working in high impact, mission critical environments where service matters and exceeding expectations is the norm.
• Candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work across multiple stakeholder groups, providing clear and concise problem definitions as well as prompt resolutions.
• Candidate should be familiar with a variety of testing tools, networking technologies and techniques to accurately troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems associated within the service, application and network hardware and software.

Skills:
• Must have excellent experience in planning, designing, and maintaining enterprise-class networks, preferably supporting an e-commerce application development environment.
• Must have specific domain expertise of large production Wide Area Networks. This role requires a strong background in Layer 2, Layer 3 & Layer 4-7 routing, switching and application switching technologies.
• Adhere and maintain network and company standards and documentation, including risk registers design documents and keeping the asset lists updated.
• Leading and mentoring technical and service orientated teams
• Assisting in investment planning, roadmap creation and delivery as well as providing input into the overall strategic direction of the network
• Perform analytical, technical, cost analysis and CAPEX development work in the planning, design, installation and on-going administration and management of core data, WAN, datacentre and (VoIP) networks.
• Ensure that the network infrastructure is fully documented and performing as required for internal and customer SLA guarantees and expectations by means of specific metrics and measurements.
• Provide technical expertise and support to Operations in the on-going maintenance and surveillance of related networks and applications.
• Provide technical expertise to Product Development to develop new product strategies and enhance existing product sets.
• Ensuring deployed licenses are compliant across all services
• Cisco Routing and Switching or Data Centre Design strongly preferred. Equivalent demonstrable experience and knowledge will be considered.
• Undergraduate Degree and / or Post Graduate Degree Preferred, with 10+ years' experience operating at a senior level with team leadership responsibility.

Certifications:
• Minimum Cisco CCIE / CCNP
