Network Support Specialist

Responsibilities:

• 2^nd level problem resolution of network related incidents
• expanding the capacity of existing technology platforms
• handling technical Service Requests related to network infrastructure

For those more experienced:

• network/LAN technologies on SME level, including roadmaps
• create and maintain documentation for assigned areas
• providing 2^nd and 3^rd level technician guidance to the Alert Support team
• define, manage and optimize network monitoring and alerting procedures
• define, maintain and manage procedures for escalation and interaction with external service providers
• 3^rd level problem resolution of network related incidents
• functional responsibility for one or more assigned technologies
• assisting IT projects in sizing, estimating scope, reporting to project
• act as technical lead for the Network support group
• qualify and approve documentation and escalation procedures

Requirements:

• good knowledge of network technologies equal to Cisco CCENT/CCT level
• practical experience in work with global network enviroment
• ability to explain (orally as well as written) technical subjects to non-IT personnel
• knowledge of ITIL v3 processes
• very good knowledge of English
• global mindset, team player, creative in troubleshooting scenarios, responsible, self-driven, flexible, focused on constant personal development
• specialist level of technical understanding of network technology (Cisco CCNA/CCNP levels)
• advanced troubleshooting skills – sniffer and protocol analysis tools
• broad understanding of the infrastructure landscape including server services
• experience with ITIL v3 processes (certificate would be an asset)
• knowledge of project participation in a Prince 2 framework
