Main responsibilities:
- Participating as a member of development team or teams, may lead development teams.
- Performing analysis of functional and business requirements.
- Coding independently; participating in code reviews and leading code reviews. Preparing code stubs for others, completing code to implement solutions.
- Contributing to design activities; may design solutions.
- Designing, preparing and executing Unit tests.
- Applying in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Node.JS, RubyonRails, Python).
- UI or Backend development.
We require:
- Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering or Related Field.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5.
- Solid Experience in Node.JS and /or Angular.JS Frameworks, API development and Web development Languages (ie. Python / RubyOnRails).
- Knowledge or Experience of backbone.js, jquery or React would be a plus.
- Knowledge of JSON Parsing.
- Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
- Knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performant visual effects.
- Knowledge of MongoDB or other noSQL DB"s would be an advantage.
- Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system.
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
Exposure to:
- Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Software Development tool experience - Eclipse, Sonar, Maven, GitHub.
- Windows Server OS &/or Linux Development Environment.
- Native Cloud would be an advantage.
