Operations Manager (with AWS experience)
Location: Kraków
Overview
This position will be ensuring optimal performance of the platform.
A successful candidate will have an extensive background in Linux systems administration, performance, and troubleshooting. This should come together with a service oriented mindset and exceptional issue/problem solving skills.
The Cloud Operations Manager will manage a team consisting of up to 10 System Engineers and Database Administrators.
Responsibilities
- Be in charge of the management, configuration, and administration of computer operations of the Software Platform (Oracle database, virtualization layer, JBOSS servers, ColdFusion).
- Create and maintain service documentation including Operations Run Book to ensure that all computer operations procedures are up to date and reflect the current processing requirements.
- Regularly review and analyze service metrics and drive remediation/corrective plans. Report on service performance and quality.
- Ensure incidents are resolved within given SLA and that proper investigation takes place, following through on remedial actions to improve service and prevent reoccurrence.
- Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical problems
- Forecast and maintain budget.
- Lead a team of IT professionals (up to 10) consisting of System Engineers and Database Administrators.
Requirements
- Solid experience in IT Operations & Support area;
- Grounded Linux and AWS skills;
- Leadership skills, experience in managing a team of IT professionals;
- Experience in supporting application service performance analysis & diagnosis;
- Fluent English, solid communications skills;
