Oracle Database Administrator

Job description:
- Installing and upgrading the Oracle server and application tools
- Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
- Creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed an application
- Creating primary objects (tables,views, indexes) once application developers have designed an application
- Modifying the database structure,as necessary, from information given by application developers
- Controlling and monitoring user accessto the database
- Planning for backup and recovery of database information
- Maintenance of Disaster Recovery
- Perform other duties asassigned
Requirements:
- 2-5 years experience in an Oracle or MS SQL support position
- Excellent hardware and server builds and configuration
- Ability to work comfortably in a dynamic technology environment that includes multiple database products, OS platforms, programming languages, and other technologies
- Experience in Linux and Windows install,support and configuration
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multiple priorities at one time
