The Senior Oracle DBA is responsible for the day-to-day database management of our customers Oracle Database infrastructure. This infrastructure is used to monitor internal financial platform. You will join an experienced DBA team that stays on the forefront of database administration Administarion. In this role, you can expect to interact on a daily basis with other departments like infrastructure hosting providers, and the operational team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operation support, supplier and customer interaction
- Plan and execution of maintenance windows
- Operation support duty and on call duty
- Patching and upgrading database solutions
- Recovery, operation development and enhancement of solutions
- Optimization, automation, documentation and quality assurance
- 2 and 3rd level troubleshooting.
Your Qualifications And Experience
- Experience Oracle database 12c, 18c, 19c, ASM, Data Guard and OEM in Unix/Linux/Windows environments
- Expertise in troubleshooting, Database performance Tuning, SQL tuning, Partitioning
- Skilled in SQL statement tuning with detailed understating of AWR and StatsPack reports, database performance tuning
- Experience with Oracle database design, installation, configuration, upgrades, patching and migrations.
- RMAN, especially restore and recovery with different backup solutions and Import/Export
- Automation and scripting; able to read, write and understand OS Scripts, SQL and Pl/SQL scrips on Unix/Linux and Windows OS
- Exposure to Database Operations in Cloud is a good to have skill. Experience on Linux will be an added advantage.
- Design, develop and implement Oracle database instances for the development and production environments in AZURE Cloud.
- Strong experience from large scale IT – Infrastructure and software engineering
- Having good organizational skills and has worked based on ITIL practice
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, cooperation and coordination skills across internal and external organizations. You actively look for ways to improve process efficiencies and effectiveness.
