We are currently seeking a highly motivated, analytical minded employee who is eager to pursue new opportunities within the dynamic world of overseas logistics. This position will provide analytical and tactical support to the company's overseas transport activities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting individual with excellent communication skills, who is able to multi-task in a fast pace environment where team work is essential. Some of the primary functions of the Specialist include, but are not limited to: consignment tracking, freight analysis, support other supply chain departments, regular communication with shipping lines and or their appointed agents / sub-contractors / servants. On the job training will be given. This position will report to Overseas Transport Team Manager.
A unique introduction to ocean transport as a major part of our supply chain. As an Overseas Transport Specialist you will be able to report performance levels of major global shipping lines on major trade lanes into Europe from South America and Russia as well as exports overseas from our European Mills. You will contribute to pricing as well as performance from our providers. Ocean Transport is dynamic as well as demanding – the position allows the successful applicant to gain knowledge of an ever evolving global operational area. You will be part of a department where the ethos is TEAM where all contribute to various projects within the EU and globally. You will also gain broad knowledge on International trade, government authorities, compliance and security within the supply chain and all aspects of ocean logistics.

- Support supply chain/logistics initiatives that have European and International scope
- Ensure data accuracy and availability within Overseas Transport team systems
- Understand import/export documentation needs and provide support to respected parties in that regard
- Have exposure to freight reporting and other analytical tasks related to Ocean Transportation
- Track and trace shipments, publish schedules, provide alerts to other supply chain departments
- Support Overseas Transport Department growth and contribute to internal improvement initiatives
- University Qualification of Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience preferred
- Previous experience or an interest in the shipping industry will be beneficial
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as analytical/problem solving capabilities
- Fluency in English both written and oral is essential
- Ability to travel and work in flexible hours from time to time
