The role of Platform Automation & Integration Engineer is involved the development and maintenance of tools and utilities that support and enable the deployment and use of the Server OS platforms at UBS.
In particular, the role will be focused on customizing the OS install to the key business requirements, while maintaining company wide standards at the same time.
The role implies to enhance and support the current tooling and develop new tooling aligned to our strategic goals.
Required strong knowledge and experience:
- Solaris / Red Hat administration experience; Preferable to have:
- Perl (Perl OOP);
- bash/shell scripting;
- Proven experience in implementation of a full software development lifecycle (requirements clarification, design, development, documentation, testing, and release)
- Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure architecture, concepts and technology;
- Use of Subversion and JIRA;
- Good English communications skills.
- Ability to self-directed work, taking initiative & responsibility for the tasks in hand.

The Server OS & Hardware Engineering team delivers Standard Operating systems and server hardware platforms for use across the bank. Our role is to integrate them with eco-system and ensure they can be maintained during their lifecycle.
