Role summary:

 

The Principal Design Engineer will:

 

• Provide conceptual design support and maintain and develop the design integrity of products within a multi-disciplinary Engineering team.
• Provide design support at all stages of the design process from initial requirements capture and proposal preparation, through detail design to manufacture and qualification.
• Provide leadership to a design group within a Value Stream.
• Support the Engineering Managers/Technical Leads
  
  

Principal Accountabilities:

 

• Generation of design concepts and configurations of a wide range of actuation systems which may consist of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical or mechanical elements.
• Design support at all stages of the design process from initial requirements capture and proposal preparation, through detail design to manufacture and qualification within a multi-disciplinary engineering team reporting to the Technical Lead of that team for day to day management.
• Responsible to the Chief Design Engineer for the quality and integrity of his/her work.
• Responsible within the multi-disciplinary engineering team for ensuring that design engineering procedures and work instructions are implemented in a consistent and rigorous way.
• Being involved in Risk Analysis activities,
• Provide design engineering input to project plans to ensure that all design engineering activities are defined.
• Providing technical justification that product configuration is specification compliant.
• Checking for patent potential
• For all new projects, to ensure that the product specification is complete, addressing all robustness and in-service requirements as well as customer and regulatory authority requirements.
  
  

 

 

Wymagania:

• Graduated from Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (or others relevant)
• Preferable 15 years of experience from engineering of aerospace products
• Very good English
