Oracle Database administrator required to work with the Advisory business line to provide high level database expertise for day to day build and support of production and development servers.
Extensive knowledge and experience of Oracle database administration ideally within the banking/financial industry.
Must have experience and knowledge of the following RDBMS technologies:
Oracle RDBMS 11.2
Oracle 11G OEM
Oracle Dataguard
Oracle RMAN
Oracle RAC
Also required:
A good working knowledge of oracle enterprise linux.
Excellent database performance tuning skills and SQL code tuning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills with an attention to detail and an ability to follow process, including raising SRs with Oracle and following them through to resolution.
Ability to work to a schedule and manage workload
Good team working skills but equally has to be capable of working alone
The successful candidate must have an excellent track record of Oracle Database Administration support, preferably in a financial environment.
The role is based in Krakow. Other DBA team members are based in London and cross region communication is very important to this role.
There may be weekend working but this is only in exceptional cases.
