Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support for the Global SAN/NAS infrastructure to include:
FTSS and On-call support (~one week in eight)
Out of hours / weekend working to support KTLO and CTB activities as required
Work closely with other GTIS regional teams and application teams to plan and deliver CTB programs
Ensure compliance with operational / change management guidelines.
Extensive knowledge and working experience of SAN/NAS technologies, ideally within the banking/financial industry.
NAS
Experience in administration of NetApp based systems, FAS3000/6000-series.
Specific knowledge of Data OnTap V7.x and V8.x in 7-mode.
Specific knowledge of Data OnTap V8.x in C-mode.
Knowledge of core Snap* product sets, including Volume/Qtree SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapMirror for Virtual Instances & SnapLock based solutions.
Knowledge of both NFS (v3/v4) and CIFS Protocols.
Experience of DFM / Ops Mgmt and Performance Advisor Products.
Experience of NetApp OnCommand Workflow Automation (WFA).
SAN
Strong knowledge of EMC storage products specifically Symmetrix (DMX2000/DMX4), VMAX and Isilon
Strong knowledge of Cisco SAN MDS 95xx product range
Strong knowledge of ECC, Symcli, Navisphere and Cisco Fabric / Device Manager
Strong knowledge of HDS VSP range, storage products - HiCommand/Tuning Manager and replication solutions
Experience of working in a storage environment supporting Windows / Solaris / Linux / ESX platforms
General
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills with an attention to detail and an ability to follow process
Ability to work and remain calm in a high pressure environment
Good team working skills but equally has to be capable of working alone
Excellent understanding of IP networking and experience with Unix shell
Additional requirements:
Working knowledge of VMWare ESX 4.x/5.x
Working knowlegdge of Unix and/or Windows operating systems
Working knowledge of EMC Powerpath, native multipathing and volume management products
