Technology Department in Wrocław (Poland) is a strong and growing part of Volvo Construction Equipment. We are a part of a global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals working with energy, passion and respect for the individual. We are the Engineering Centre for Volvo CE delivering sub-systems and machines design for our business partners located in Europe and USA.
To materialize our future growth & ambitious plans, we are looking for:
Professional Design Engineer – Electrical profile
Main responsibilities:
- Project execution and delivery with competence and Volvo standards.
- Create concepts, ideas and perform minor manual calculations or system analysis.
- Deliver technical solutions within cost, quality and timeliness defined in the project scope.
- Design/modify 3D models and drawings using CAD and PDM systems.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree and 3 years of experience in similar position.
- Experience in working with at least one CAD system (ProE/Creo or Catia v5) and PDM system.
- Knowledge and skills to design welded and bent elements.
- Knowledge of plastic components would be an advantage.
- Ability to design for manufacturing and assembly with cost awareness.
- Ability to create and analyse technical documentation based on given standard.
- Holistic view of Product Development and Production.
- Awareness of mechanical solutions in construction machinery.
- Customer focus.
- Perseverance.
- Ability to learn quickly and grow while gaining experience.
- Team player and high collaboration skills.
- Language skills: good in writing and spoken in English.
- Ready for occasional business trips.
