Build and develop the execution plan for the consolidation and migration of applications, servers, storage and network;
Gather documentation and establish project plans/processes;
Manage technical infrastructure teams and application teams to plan and execute migration cutover events;
Manage the individual migration plans and wave event planning (i.e., run books, minute-by-minute execution plans);
Advise clients on potential risk, and manage client expectations;
Lead planning and/or implementation of migration events;
Manage project and wave event "Lessons Learned" and corrective measures;
Develop and own the migration plan;
Process tailoring and updates to migration run books and documentation;
Plan and co-ordinate resources required to support and execute on migration events;
Will work cross-functionally across business and IT teams to ensure effective communication and understanding of IT Infrastructure matters by all levels of management;
Liaise directly with third party service providers to ensure successful move events with zero business impact;
Ensure contingency to re-plan in the event of unforeseen changes.
Previous data centre optimization/ application migration project experience (build, consolidation, relocation, migration or virtualization projects);
General understanding of all data centre functions (production operations, network, change control, DR/business recovery, help desk, systems management and facilities) with a focus on server, storage and database technologies;
Demonstrate a holistic understanding of data centre operations (i.e., production operations, server, storage, network, database, systems, help desk, DR/business recovery and continuity practices, etc.);
Applied understanding of data centre functions, technologies and interdependencies: Server platform technologies (UNIX/Wintel--HP Sun/IBM, etc), Storage platform technologies, (SAN/NAS) including hardware and software (EMC/NetApp/Sun/IBM/HP, etc), Server/data centre total cost of ownership (TCO), Data centre/server operational components (monitoring, management, etc.), Asset management (experience with tools/process), and other technologies (VMware/virtualization, etc.);
Excellent communication, organization and writing skills are required;
Communication mechanisms including project status reports and dashboards, meeting agendas and minutes and executive reports and presentations;
Execute change control, quality, risk management and communications throughout the project ;
MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio and Office tools to manage plans, charts, reports and documentation, etc.

We are looking for Project Manager with proven expertise managing data center migration, consolidation and optimization projects.
In this position you will need to work within a matrix environment to plan, schedule, coordinate and assist execute of migrations covering multiple infrastructure disciplines (infrastructure, storage, network, server, infra applications e.g. database, web, middleware technologies etc.)
In this position you will be working with, and managing internal, client and vendor project teams throughout the entire project life cycle (technology and application migration discovery, design and execution)
