Prototype Engineer - Working Student

Daily activities 

We’d like you to be a technical owner and co-creator of prototype services deployed in the telco edge cloud.  

Services, for now, are the concept. But with your work, they will materialize as software services. 

In detail, it may mean that you will create a design, then develop prototype, test and integrate it, and finally repeat the cycle using the knowledge from the result of existing prototypes. 

This role is based within the Nokia Garage where we define the future of telecommunication.

The ultimate aim is to incubate the ideas which later become a real part of the edge cloud business. This role is based within the Nokia Garage where we define the future of telecommunication.

We work with: 

• Python or with other languages if needed. 
• Computer networks and telco cloud services 
• Virtualization and containers 
• Kubernetes 
• Open stack 
• Each technology which supports rapid software prototyping

Our expectations: 

• You are already a creator and have a portfolio of own software or maybe even hardware projects 
• You are extremely creative and open-minded as you will define the majority of project details by yourself 
• You are fluent in programming in  a network environment 
• Administration knowledge of Linux and Windows machines 
• Basic LTE and telco knowledge 
• You are an engineering student (Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar) 
• good communication in English (both written and spoken)
