QA Engineer

Responsibilites
Test Engineer is reponsible for:
- an early escalation of problems to the Test Manager
- ensuring all assigned activities are conducted according to the testing standards
- timely delivery of the assigned activities and deliverables as defined in the schedule and for producing them in the required quality (as defined in the test plan)
- ensuring all assigned activities are reported regularly
- ensuring traceability from test cases to requirements and from deviation records to test cases
- implements the operational test startegy in line with the company test standards
- designs and executes all assinged tests, creates test logs and defect records according to the result
- define and create test data needs for test execution
- supports the Test Manager in the planning and evaluation of testing activities and participates in lessons learned
Requirements
Mandatory education/experience:
- Degree from university / university of applied sciences, appropriate training or professional experience
- Deep experience in test design and manual test execution
- ISTQB certification "Certified Tester" Foundation or Advanced level
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Understanding of securities master data (VDPS)
Host experience:
- Experience in banking industry: well understanding of financial instruments, good knowledge of securities, single accounts, FX and forward contract transactions processing incl. corporate actions
- Practical experience with HP Application Lifecycle Management or comparable tools
- Excellent organization / coordination skills
- Good communication skills
Beneficial experience:
- Banking-knowhow about tax, namely USWHT, Transaction Tax,
- Background in software development processes / life cycle
Personality:
- Well w structured/organized, communicative, autonomous, proactive, analytical thinking, flexible, able to work under pressure
We offer
The project will implement a technical solution to comply with banking regulations. IT requirements specifications have to be written derived from business requirements documents and workshops. New modules need to be developed on our mainframe in order to gather all required data, calculate and withhold the relevant tax amounts and create the regulatory reporting, clients and counterparties.
