- Create test plans and design test cases
- Analyze Java and xml extracts in White Box Testing
- Create SQL queries to test databases and run compares of data
- Run functional tests on the application
- Capture and report any defects throughout test execution
- Perform initial analysis of failed tests
- Maintain and update tests based on continuous feedback
- Provide the results of tests and analysis back to the development & BA teams
- Maintain test data & test environments
- Create, deploy and improve Quality Assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle
Mandatory:
*2-4 years of Quality Assurance and Testing professional experience *Good knowledge of software design lifecycle and testing methodologies *White box testing experience *Analytical and problem solving skills *Experience of database testing *Understanding of Java *Editing of XML *SQL query creation *Microsoft Excel experience *Flexibility & team-player attitude *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Willingness to take initiative and responsibility *Good organization of work & attention to details *Customer focus & orientation towards results
Desirable:
- MSc or BSc degree in IT
- Database knowledge / ability to write queries (SQL / Oracle)
- Java and XML
- Linux / Unix experience
- Bash / Python scripting experience
- ISTQB certification
- Experience in using JIRA and HP Quality Centre / ALM (or equivalent tools)
- Knowledge of Agile / Scrum / Kanban methodology
Candidate will be part of a big global team responsible for Quality Assurance of strategic Risk applications.
The strategic risk systems are an in-house solution that is being adopted by multiple business lines. This is developed in C#, leveraging TIBCO EMS on app servers. The front-end is a mixture of WinForms, Infragistics and WPF. The system is a multi-tier distributed platform utilizing farming techniques. Close interaction with in-house quants is expected.
