Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilites
Primary responsibilities:
- Preparation of servers according to the testing needs
- Coordination of testing with Test Manager and SME's
- Execute testing frameworks or manual test steps for microservices, interfaces and developed APIs
- Provide reporting and evidence for testing results.
- Raise and track found defects in tracking tools.
- Provide testing documentation and input for project management documentation.
- Manage priority and project related testing requests to the agreed timescales with regular reporting and updates.
Secondary responsibilities
- Suggest changes for enhancement to the tools, workflow, process and reporting
Requirements
Must have:
- Working knowledge of Shell-Scripting and tools (Ant, JIRA, Confluence, Excel)
- Good knowledge of Unix (RHEL, Solaris x86 / SPARC), Windows Server
- Experience developing and executing manual and automated test suites
- Experience with Integration environments and able to understand complex environments
Other skills:
- Good working experience with MS Office to an intermediate level (pivot tables etc).
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure including visualizations and Storage concepts.
- Good interpersonal skills the role involves coordinating activities with resources and communicating clearly to SME's and Test Manager.

The Tester is responsible for the execution of all the necessery quality assurance tasks to ensure quality of Client developed integration and microservices for the XaaS (PaaS) programs. Communication with the SME's at Client as well as the test coordinators is key to provide the testing in requested time and for all the required platforms. Test system setup and preparation as well as execution of the necessary tasks, but also the reporting of the results and tracking of deficiencies with according reporting and tracking tools is part of the role.
