R&D Senior Project Manager for Digital Substation

Join our R&D team in Krakow and work as R&D Senior Project Manager in Digital Substations. You will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary development projects in an international environment in mixed teams staffed by R&D with Engineering Centers delivering successful results of assigned projects on-time, within budget, as per CHTET agreement aligned with Product and Business development, with on- quality & safety framework of ABB.
Tasks:
- Leads the project team and ensures success by methodically chosen milestones;
- Plans, monitors and controls project activities, proactively to maximize cash flow;
- Understands critical path scheduling and assures a minimum but sufficient project float;
- Actively strives to optimize overall resource planning and utilization considering resources within the local organization;
- Assures a valid Project Safety plan is in place;
- Considers close out activities and influences for an early close out;
- Identifies and shares lessons learned.
Key requirements:
- Master of mechanical, electrical engineering or computer science;
- Minimum five years of experience in managing projects;
- Experience with Projects of different size, complexity and contractual types;
- Broad ABB network within BU PGGI and to PGGA, PGHV, and PGTR;
- PMP® certification from Project Management Institute or certified by our major competitor as Project Manager or IPMA Level C/D certification recommended if recruited from an external organization;
- Experience in running R&D project with ABB Gate Model is an advantage;
- Proficient in English written/oral, local language as an advantage;
- Target oriented, pro-active and self-motivated person;

- Communicative, convincing team-player.
