Responsibilites
- Performing all aspects of automated testing for client engagements
- Development of test approaches, estimates and plans for the insurance products and complex integrated systems, drive successful execution to ensure end result aligns with business need in collaboration with other client's teams
- Delivery of testable and traceable requirements and effective applying of appropriate testing techniques to ensure comprehensive end-to-end testing
- Development of test cases, tests execution, defects triage and resolution
- Development of effective test metrics for timely decision making around quality
- Proactive engagement with development teams to help promote prevention of defects early in project/development life-cycle
- Report status of tests development and execution timely in a proper manner
Requirements
- Proven experience in automation testing for client server applications
- Professional coding experience in Java stack
- Experience with test management tools
- UI automation experience is beneficial
- Strong experience in performing DB conversion testing and SQL
- Good knowledge and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Extensive experience in establishing QA standards, analyzing business requirements, test planning, test cases creation, defect reporting, traceability and test metrics
- Expertise in functional, regression, smoke, integration, user acceptance and database testing
- Ability to identify, document and monitor specific problems / bugs and resolution alternatives
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills with ability to work under pressure in a highly visible role.

The project is the clients MIFID II programme that needs to be delivered by January 2018 for phase 1. The primary asset class is FX but this could be extended for our remit. MiFID II is an EU law which revises the MiFID I directive implemented in 2007. MiFID II consists of the and aims to increase market competitiveness and transparency, as well as improve protection for investors:
- Directive (MiFID) which must be transformed into a national law of each Member State.
- Regulation (MiFIR) which introduces uniform set of rules for some areas, in particular - trade and transaction reporting
MiFID II includes the following types of reporting:
- Pre-trade transparency
- Post-trade transparency
- Transaction reporting
