The agile team we formulate is interdisciplinary meaning candidate will work on software on every step of its lifecycle across all the projects we work on as a team. This means involvement in software development on these steps:
- Specification, estimation, design.
- Implementation, review, testing.
- Deployment and support of a working system.
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Java experience, including Server-side processing, including but not limited to:
- Multithreading
- Memory management
- Software architecture
- Unit testing
- Design patterns
- Spring, Maven, IntelliJ
- Experience writing SQL database queries
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Object Oriented Programming knowledge
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Scrum, Kanban or any other agile experience
- Understanding of derivative instruments / financial
- Experience at a financial institution
- Computer Science Degree
- TDD experience
- .net, C# experience and knowledge
Solutions and Equities Risk is part of Global Market Technology working on a family of applications called Giraffe which form Risk Management System. The long term strategy is to focus on integration of other redundant risk systems into strategic ones. This includes developing ownership within the teams and have their commitment and engagement in Giraffe.
Giraffe being risk management systems means that it connect with different servers for fetching Trades, Market prices of Instruments and Spot Prices, Valuation and Pricing Models, etc. In particular, it develops and supports Front, Middle and Back Office Systems & Tools used by the Global Markets business.
Our strong goal is to build the team that can support various projects instead of focus on a single one. Currently the team is working on application connecting vendor system with Credit Suisse environment, being back office system working for front office systems. The second project is risk results presentation application used by front office.
