Project Description:
Our client is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provide a wide range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and individuals.
We are currently hiring a team of software engineers (Java) data engineers and SRE/DevOps.
Current main project objectives:
- Moving large scale on-prem data warehousing to Cloud
- Building single consolidated batch and streaming data pipeline
- Rebuilding heavily used reference data master systems (Client, Product, Account) from scratch, also looking to move to Cloud
- Open Sourcing our Data Platform
- Moving from database replication to more modern data distribution techniques - APIs, Streaming, Cloud, etc
Responsibilities
Refactoring and optimization of current code
Performance improvement of existing RDBMS
Skills
- BA/BS in Computer Science, or relevant software engineering experience .
- Strong programming skills (Java) and experience in full stack development.
- Expertise in algorithms/data structures/distributed systems
- Experience with SDLC/CI/CD, Linux/Unix and testing frameworks
- Strong problem solving skills
