Key Responsibilities
Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects
Write test cases and define test sets for new and existing software features
Design and develop comprehensive regression tests
Cover agile/scrum tests as well as regression and integration tests
Author effective bug reports
report test results
Maintain test cases as well as test data
Document test results in ALM QC
Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:
Candidate must be self-motivated and have strong communication skills, ideally experience in building up test automation. Should work well with cross culture and cross country teams.
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role
Methodical, quality oriented, deadline driven with excellent problem solving skills
Commitment to Test-driven Development, continuous integration, and test automation
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Ability to translate business goals and user stories into own work assignments and succeed with little management direction
Strong test process know how, willingness to document test results professionally in ALM QC
Manage test cases, test scripts as well as test data
Technology: HP ALM QC, JIRA
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Selenium
Excel
Background in finance - basic knowledge of financial markets, Listed Security Trading and Funds Execution is a plus
Experience in testing in an agile environment a plus
Overview of business area or project:
The Client is a global financial services company and provides services for a global client-base.
Within Private Banking "Order Trade Management" is the strategic platform for processing all Equities, Funds, Fixed Income, Exchange-Traded Derivatives and New Issues flow. The platform processes about 1 million orders per month and consists of more than 10 individual applications. The backend- and execution-applications are mainly written in Java and have a common data-cache and a monitoring component based on .Net.
The platform is managed by a team of about 150 people globally. We are now looking to build out Warsaw as our strategic development-hub.
You will be part of a diverse team working in agile-mode and utilizing cloud-services and DevOps.
Overview of the department / team (team size, backgrounds, personalities ...):
Overall test team consists of ca 20 testers - overall Test Lead is located in Zürich.
Currently some scrum and regression testers are located in Bangalore, India. Warsaw will be built up as a central delivery platform . Target operation model is that all testing is being done only from Zurich and Warsaw.
The test team works closely together with the delivery teams (in Zurich and Warsaw), which consist of scrum masters, business analysts, developers.
