Responsibilites
Responsibilities
- Responsible following release process and enhance the process based on lesson learned
- Creating and maintaining release plans to match the project timeline
- Agree on release criteria by aligning with stakeholders (e.g. Product delivery manager, Quality manager etc.)
- Monitoring and reporting risks and release metrics/KPIs
- Manage integration of external deliveries (e.g. firmware, tool chain etc.)
- Responsible for Go-live process
- Generating, storing and maintaining deliverables artifacts. Make the artifacts available to stakeholders.
- Maintain the configuration of code repos along with DevOps engineer (e.g. maintain manifest, repo structure, permission etc.)
- Managing, automating and optimizing build systems in conjunction with DevOps
- Develop automation scripts, daemons, and APIs to reduce operational overhead
- Share, learn & implement best practices related to CI/CD methodologies
- Contribute towards development of an efficient, re-usable and reliable CI/CD system
- Analyze root causes of build or CI job related issues and provide corrective actions or channelize to appropriate responsible
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification
- 5+ years in Software Release Management, Configuration Management or Build engineering (in embedded software is desired)
- Broad view of software development methodologies and best practices
- Good knowledge of tools for continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, ...)
- Good knowledge of version control tool (e.g. Git, Gerrit etc.)
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure with tight deadlines and demanding quality objectives
- Proficient knowledge of scripting (e.g. Ruby, Python...)
- Good understanding of quality assurance at various stages of product development
- Very good communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent in English, both in spoken and written form. German is a plus.
- Experience in agile software development is a plus
- Experience in testing & test automation
- Experience in programming (e.g. Java, C++...) languages is a plus
- Experience in location based services is a plus
- Experience in Automotive Software industry is a plus
