Reporting and Analytics Development Analyst

Purpose of the role

Translate business need for reporting into technical requirements and build static reports and dynamic dashboards that provide the information output that responds to the business need

Maintain existing reports whilst continually driving enhancement and improvements in the report catalogue
Accountabilities

• Convert broad understanding of the financial aspects & key drivers of the business into technical specifications for the creation of standard management reporting, including dashboards
• Capture data requirements for OBIEE (End state solution)
• Develop new and maintain existing dashboards in Tableau
• Work with external and internal business advisors (including IT), as appropriate, taking good practice and guidance for the creation and development of dashboards eg Identify relevant data sources and convert into dashboards
• Produce reports and templates that support the annual financial planning process and the business plan
• Create reports that enable accurate and timely tracking and reporting of business performance
• Define detailed business requirements and technical requirements used to build reporting templates
• Document any processes or definitions required to use or produce the report template and train others in their use where needed

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications
• Degree in computer science or finance is desirable
• Working towards professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Experience
• 3 years of experience developing management reporting platforms and systems
• Experience working on a large project with accountability of delivering results that support the overall project objectives
• Knowledge of Tableau / Oracle OBIEE or similar tools
• Experience working in financial process transition situations is an asset
